Golden Connections
For Lunar New Year, Macca's wanted to genuinely connect with Asian Australians.
Finding that many Asian Australians who live far from family and friends can feel isolated during this time, we created a mural at the China Town Macca's. The Mural said 'Miss you and wish you were here' in various languages – allowing anyone to take a photo with the mural to send back to their missed loved ones.
To create the Mural we worked with Chris Yee, a proud Asian Australian artist. After learning about how he used to connect with his Grandmother at Macca's, we created OLVs to share his story and his artwork with all of Australia:
